Program Description

Mental Health Consumer Concerns (MHCC) is part of the Health, Housing and Integrated Service Network (HHISN). MHCC works in partnership with the Corporation for Supportive Housing, Contra Costa Public Health, Rubicon Programs, Phoenix Programs and Shelter, Inc. to offer health care, mental health, substance abuse treatment, social and vocational services and employment opportunities in conjunction with service enriched housing for single adults who are homeless/formerly homeless or ?at risk? and have HIV/AIDS, mental health issues, and/or substance abuse disorders.

Through HHISN, MHCC's Peer Counselors assist consumers in daily living activities including budgeting, cooking, shopping, use of transportation and grooming. Peer Counselor facilitated support groups, social and recreational activities help consumers lead productive lives in the community.

HHISN accepts referral from the shelters, multi-purpose centers and the mental health clinics in Contra Costa County.
